Apple has recently reached out to a select group of professional and amateur photographers as part of a new promotional campaign for the iPhone 6. Creating a collection of 57 images all taken on the new tech giant's latest model, the photographs will be displayed in 70 cities in 24 different countries across billboards and on an online gallery. Each photograph is accompanied by a short caption, which reveals information about the location of the photo and whether or not an app was used to improve the finish.

The World Photo Organisation have also recently launched an extra category to the 2015 Sony World Photography Awards to recognise excellent photography taken on smartphones, stating: "Photography now exists in our pockets, and we want to celebrate this."
