Dubai's year of innovation is in full swing and adding to the exciting announcements already emerging this year, most recently from the Future Government Summit, is the news from Dubai's Crown Prince that the UAE is launching a new competition to encourage the best of the best in the world of artificial intelligence. 

The UAE AI and Robotics Award for Good has been officially announced by Sheikh Hamdan and it offers a top prize of AED1 million at the national level and $1 million at the international level.

Our goal is to harness science and technology to promote a better life for the people and enhance happiness in the communities," Sheikh Hamdan said.

The competition is open to experts and developers of all technologies across all services and disciplines such as disability assistance, education, healthcare as well as emergency services. We may have a while to wait but our intelligence tells us that the finalists are sure to be extraordinary creations, we can't wait to see what the competition produces.
