Three burgers to try in Dubai this weekend
Lunch and dinner, sorted
The combination of the weekend and a delicious (#cheat) meal go hand-in-hand and a couple of new spots have cropped up over the past week that you need to get yourself to ASAP.
1. Black Tap, Rixos Premium JBR
The first Black Tap restaurant opened in Jumeirah Al Naseem earlier this year and proved to be incredibly popular. Wait times on weekends are upwards of about two hours currently, so those hoping to find out what all the fuss is about will be pleased to know that the restaurant's second Dubai outpost opened this week at the Rixos Premium JBR. Even though it's new, we suggest getting there a little ahead of when you would like to eat as its destined to be as popular as its predecessor. Oh, and make sure you go hungry...
2. SALT, La Mer North
One of Dubai's favourite burger joints, SALT has just opened up another branch (it already has two: one at Kite Beach and another in Dubai Marina) at the city's hottest new destination, La Mer North. Unlike the other two locations, this new space is an actual restaurant (versus a food truck) with a distinct surf house vibe. Plus, in addition to all of your regular SALT favourites, the Lar Mer restaurant will also offer up an exclusive range of sliders, fries, softie buns and 'nitro' coffee.
3. Axe House, JLT
Having opened its door just a few weeks ago, Axe House is still somewhat of a well-kept secret amongst foodies in Dubai. Located where Cocktail Kitchen used to be, the British bar offers up a considered menu with three standout burgers you've got to try: the Portobello (veggie option), spicy chicken and black angus. You won't go wrong with any option.
