Created in partnership with Hollywood actor Robert De Niro, the Nobu brand is now a much-desired global culinary institution and synonymous with fine Japanese cuisine. This week, it's the perfect opportunity for Middle Eastern food connoisseurs to meet the man behind the name, Chef Nobu Matsuhisa. The Michelin-starred chef will first head to the three-storeyed Nobu Doha – the biggest in the world – at the Four Seasons Hotel before heading east to Dubai for a visit to Nobu, Atlantis, The Palm.

Donning the apron at Four Seasons Doha, Chef Nobu is set to present a two-day celebration aptly named The Art of Nobu: A Culinary Journey. The exclusive journey begins on November 23 with a showcase of the chef's mastery in the art of sushi-making as he conducts an exclusive class to a limited group of eight participants. This will be followed by a specially curated seven-course omakase menu, which reflects Nobu's trademark juxtaposition of Japanese and global flavours. Then, on November 24, take in the views of the city from the terrace as Chef Nobu hosts an intimate party complete with the restaurant's signature canapés.

From Doha, Chef Nobu will embark on his first trip back to Dubai in over two years. Running from November 26-27, the master chef will present an exciting menu that is carefully crafted from Japanese and Peruvian influences, all of which were inspired by Chef Nobu's favourite dishes. Expect a smorgasbord of flavours from the black cod jalapeno miso, Japanese beef tenderloin with wasabi salsa and ponzus and tofu tiramisu.
