If airplane food isn't your favourite, you might like to try and fit in a bite at the airport before boarding. Recently airports have been upping their gastronomic game with the likes of Heston Blumenthal and Gordon Ramsay both opening eateries in London Heathrow. 

Now Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport is joining the club with a new restaurant in Terminal 2E – I Love Paris. Michelin three-star chef Guy Martin, who is of course French, is at the helm of the new eatery which has India Mahdavi designed interiors, inspired by the Palais Royal. 

The restaurant will offer a bubbles bar for the suave traveller, and two different dining options; the Miyou sandwich bar which offers high-end sandwiches and lighter bites. Then there is the main dining room which serves a no holds barred French culinary adventure with the likes of steak with béarnaise sauce and fries, pot-au-feu and Blanquette de veal en cocotte, mango and blue lobster carpaccio, roasted monkfish and fillet of duckling to name a few. As if we needed a new excuse to travel through Paris.
