The nominees for the eighth annual Designs of the Year Awards have been announced for 2015.  This annual award celebrates design that: "promotes or delivers chance, enables access, extends design practice or captures the spirit of the year."

The nominees are whittled down to 76 designs that are arranged by six categories; architecture, digital, fashion, product, graphics and transport. The jury, which includes Nicole Fahri and architect Farshid Moussavi amongst others, are tasked with selecting a winner for each winner by the start of May and an overall winner in June. London's Design Museum, will stage an exhibition of the nominees and will be making the winning announcements.  

This year's nominees hail from over 30 different countries and include; Frank Gehry's Fondation Louis Vuitton, BMW's i8 sports car and Konstantin Grcic's Man Machine furniture collection for Galerie Kreo in a diverse cross genre line up.
