Aljoud Lootah has shared a sneak peek of her new collection with Buro 24/7 Middle East ahead of next month's Design Days Dubai exhibition. The new four piece collection is titled Oru, borrowing the Japanese word which literally means 'to fold' to act as a description as much a title for the exquisite pieces.

The furniture and decorative objects are made of a mix of materials from a rose tinted reflective corner mirror to an angular wood panelled cabinet. The concept and inspiration stem from the art of origami and the aim is to demonstrate how something so seemingly two dimensional as a piece of paper, can become a multifaceted three dimensional design with the right use of 'oru.'

The collection is modern, complex and sophisticated and we look forward to seeing it in three dimensions ourselves, at the Design Days exhibition in March.
