UAE exclusive: Rolls-Royce unveils Sheikh Zayed-inspired Wisdom collection
One for each emirate
British luxury automotive manufacturer Rolls-Royce has unveiled a new collection of cars that pay tribute to the UAE's founding father, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Created in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Motors, the Wisdom collection comprises of seven specially commissioned cars – signifying the seven emirates – that feature design elements which reflect the unique heritage of the country.
"The UAE's founding father and his vision for the UAE has been a great inspiration for our designers to draw from, who have been inspired to construct some of the most exceptional Bespoke motor cars Rolls-Royce has ever created," said Arno Husselmann, General Manager of Abu Dhabi Motors. "The Wisdom Collection is a remarkable representation of the rich history, culture, practices and sites in the seven Emirates. The Bespoke programme at Rolls-Royce has exceptionally embodied central origins and features of the UAE."
The highlight of the collection is the Wisdom Phantom VII, which was inspired by the iconic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and features the largest ever embroidery panel created for a Rolls-Royce vehicle. As well, the designs of the two Phantom coupes were based on the Qasr Al-Hosn Fort and the desert rose, while the two Wraiths centred around falconry and the Sheikh Zayed Bridge. Rounding off the collection are the Dawn and the Ghost that reflect the pearling traditions as well as the historic trade routes respectively. All vehicles share the Hikmah logo – translated to wisdom in Arabic – as well as a quote by Sheikh Zayed that has been etched by hand onto the front console.
The Rolls-Royce Wisdom collection is now available exclusively at Abu Dhabi Motors. Also, discover Goodwood, the home of Rolls-Royce in a video that's been released as part of the brand's new film series.
