Luxury sports automaker Aston Martin and renowned Italian design firm Zagato have unveiled their latest creation, the Vanquish Zagato Concept. The fifth car in a collaboration between the two houses, the Vanquish Zagato Concept marries Aston Martin's deep racing heritage with Zagato's impeccable design ethos.

Some of the highlights of the new concept car include the full carbon fibre body, the Vulcan-inspired tail light design and retractable spoiler. The exceptional design cues also spill into the interior with metals and leather complimenting Zagato's trademark 'Z' quilt-stitched seats and embossed signature headrests.

"Over the years, we have developed and refined our own design language and we have always gone that little bit further with our special series cars like the CC-100, One-77 and Aston Martin Vulcan," said Aston Martin's Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman. "The Vanquish Zagato Concept shows how our two companies can come together and push the definition of Aston Martin design."

The sentiment was shared by Zagato's CEO, Andrea Zagato, who said: "We pride ourselves on our strong partnership and the creation of the Vanquish Zagato Concept was a true shared experience. It represents the essence of an important design relationship that dates back over 50 years."
