Manzil, Downtown Dubai, achieves a rare feat by local Dubai standards – it has the true feeling of a boutique hotel, something that its managing hotel and neighbour, Vida Hotels, knows a thing or two about. In a city where everything is designed to be big and bold, Manzil delivers a personalised experience from the very heart of Downtown.

A stones-throw from the bustle of Dubai Mall, Souk Al Bahar and the Burj Khalifa, not to mention the numerous boulevard eateries, the location could not be more central and yet from within the thick it, Mazil offers an oasis of calm from the hive of activity that exists on its doorstep.

Where better to start with the unwinding than the sanctuary of the rooftop pool, affording stunning city views, this is the perfect place to relax on a lounger and curl up with a book, enjoy some sun or complete a few laps before heading to the delectable restaurants in the hotel.

Breakfast is a real highlight here, in fact we'd be so bold as to say that Buro 24/7 Middle Eastwould rank it up there with the best breakfasts in the city. We love the quirky and unique lay out of the breakfast treats and eats. A la carte delights are available to order, be it a pancake indulgence or the suburb Eggs Benedict with an Arabian twist. And all of your breakfast favourites are out on display, even the usual suspects are given a fun-flair, take the cornflakes that are presented in a brown paper bag, sealed with a peg and simply labeled as 'cornflakes' without the branding. It certainly put a spring our step to start day, although the delicious healthy juice mixes could have helped with that too.

Another thing to love about the Manzil is its authentic Arabian hospitality. From its architecture, accents in food and decorative and artistic details, the delights of Arabia permeate the visitor experience. Furthermore, these beautiful details are achieved through promoting and supporting local talent. Take the delectable Arabian afternoon tea, brought through a partnership with local culinary art director, Shaikha Al Ali, its well worth stopping by the hotel for an afternoon break between shopping trips and activities. The budding floral arrangements that punctuate the communal ares of the hotel with vibrant beauty are supplied by the local florist, Kadi Boutique. Oh, and the brilliant art is also produced by rising local artists from the region.

Once you have recharged your batteries with delectable food and poolside peace, head to the Courtyard for a lively atmosphere and enjoy a drink, shisha and some great music, spun by brilliant resident DJ's. Fridays are particularly full of life here so get in early to ensure the perfect table to enjoy the evening ahead. Why not stay for dinner, the menu is another culinary delight.

With plush and sumptuously comfortable rooms that ooze the same Arabian hospitality details as the rest of the hotel, Manzil is certainly a Dubai Downtown delight. And the erudite and cheerful staff will make sure you receive top notch service. All this and more means there is plenty to come back for...
