The top new horology releases from SIHH 2019
Another year of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie exhibition has officially come to an end and to say there was no shortage of haute horology on display would be an understatement.
Marking its 29th edition, this year's SIHH was quite different as it was the last time world-renowned brands including Richard Mille and Audemars Piguet would be showcasing their collections at the fair.
The two luxury brands showcased their newest novelties alongside other prominent labels including Jaeger LeCoultre, Ulysse Nardin, Hublot and de Grisogono. Take a look at the key releases from the exhibition here...
Jaeger LeCoultre Rendez-Vous
Swiss luxury watchmaking brand, Jaeger LeCoultre, added a sparkly new creation to its signature Rendez-Vous collection with the release of the new Night & Day jewellery watch which is literally perfect for the night and day.
Available in either a white or pink gold, the timepiece comes complete with a rich alligator leather strap, available in blue or taupe.
Sitting pretty inside the 36mm piece that is made with gold, mother-of-pearl and diamonds is the automatic movement and all-new vision of the iconic Night & Day function.
Ulysse Nardin Skeleton X
During this year's edition of SIHH, Ulysse Nardin introduced the X factor with its new Skeleton X timepiece.
The perfect balance of design and function, the new X-ray aesthetic of the novelty allows its wearers to admire the mechanism that goes into the creation.
The case has been reimagined to be more refined, more masculine and less structured with more angularity, plus it now features a UN-371 calibre which is the new manufacture movement.
Also, the new launch of the timepiece comes available in four luxe-finish editions including satin-finish titanium blue, satin-finish titanium black, satin-finish rose gold and matte-finish Carbonium.
Hublot Spirit of Big Bang
During Geneva Days, Hublot dropped its latest timepiece as part of its iconic Big Bang collection.
Adding a little more energy and brilliance to the collection (the brand has previously launched transparent, smoked black, blue and red sapphire versions), Hublot has now released the Spirit of Big Bang Yellow Sapphire.
How did it get to the captivating hue you ask? Well, the brand fused copper with aluminium oxide and only made 100 exclusive pieces. Paired with a self-winding skeleton chronograph movement, this is a watch watch made for timepiece enthusiasts.
Richard Mille Automatic Litchi Bonbon
This year officially marks the last time Richard Mille will be showcasing their new novelties at the leading horology fair and their latest releases are the most colourful ones to date.
The Bonbon collection is inspired by sweets and candy, and the watchmaking company incorporated a sense of fashion into the pieces.
Available in a total of 60 colours (yes that's right, 6-0) and 10 different models from the collection's two different lines (Fruit and Sweets), the timepieces are created using powder enamel, fine sand and miniature sculptures.
de Grisogono Retro Steel
Whilst de Grisogono are known for their stunning jewellery creations, the brand is also recognised for its timepieces.
At SIHH, the brand introduced the new Retro Steel collection, which comes complete with three different dials: galvanic anthracite grey, blue sunray and green.
A perfect accessory for any time of the day, the elegance of the timepiece has been brought to life with a 44mm polished, stainless steel case, rhodium-plated Arabic numerals, a polished steel bracelet and triple folding clasp.
