Baselworld celebrates its centenary year in 2017, welcoming 1,300 exhibitors ready to unveil their latest offerings including Chopard, Chanel, Tag Heuer and Hublot. "For the last 100 years, watchmakers and jewellers have been presenting their creations to visitors of Switzerland and the world in the heart of Basel," said Sylvie Ritter, Managing Director Baselworld. "We have succeeded in reinventing, renewing, adapting, modernising and continuously transforming ourselves, constantly reflecting an ever-changing market."

Two new highlights of this year's show are Les Ateliers and Design Lab spaces. While the former is a melting pot of independent watchmakers, the latter aims to provide a platform for emerging jewellery designers to showcase contemporary and forward-thinking designs.

"It is here and nowhere else that all the exhibitors have the opportunity to present their innovations and creations to the most influential and eminent retailers and media around the world," said Eric Bertrand, President of the Exhibitors' Committee, highlighting the importance of the trade fair. "We know from experience that the new collections presented as a world premiere at Baselworld will make the news for the next 12 months and that the trends that emerge here will spread throughout the world."

Baselworld 2017 runs from March 23-30. Now, discover Hublot's novelties for the grand event.
