Richard Mille partners with Natalie Portman for a good cause
Award-winning Hollywood actress Natalie Portman has taken part in the creation of a new watch by Swiss luxury timepiece maker, Richard Mille. Sales of the watch will benefit the international youth and educational charity, Free the Children, and was presented at the SIHH fair in Geneva last week.
The New Tourbillon RM 19-01 has a very unusual but symbolic design, made especially for the actress, the watch dial takes the form of a spider in white gold decorated with diamonds, and the back of the watch has a web design which is lined with sapphires. Evoking a delicate yet powerful statement.
"A spider is an expression of feminine energy and creativity. Master of his fate, he weaves reality and is a symbol of the soul and freedom " said Portman of her design choice.
The watch is a limited edition and only 20 models have been made. All proceeds of the latest Richard Mille Tourbillon RM 19-01, will benefit the Free the Children charity, for which the actress is an ambassador.
