Prada launches fine jewellery line with a focus on sustainability
Earlier this year, Gucci announced it was launching a new fine jewellery and watches collection. Overnight, Prada announced it would follow suit with the launch of its own collection next month.
According to a press release, the collection is "made in 18-carat gold and diamonds sourced from suppliers certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council, a not-for-profit organisation founded in 2015 to promote responsible practices in metal and gemstone processing from extraction to commercialisation." It includes earrings, bracelets, necklaces and pendants inspired by motifs from some of the brand's ready-to-wear and accessories collections in previous seasons including guitars, bananas and robots, as well as the brand's traingle logo.
The collection will launch in specific boutiques next month. It is is not yet known which stores in the Middle East will carry the line. Stay tuned to Buro. Middle East for more.
In the meantime, check out the new Forever Fendi watch collection.
