It's just two days before the launch of the Net-a-Porter Demi Fine Jewellery department, the latest in a line of new categories to be added to the leading online shopping website. Speaking about the new offering, Lisa Aiken, Net-a-Porter's Retail Fashion Director says: "What makes this project so special is that it unites elements of both fashion and fine jewellery, which have historically been very separate categories."

The Demi Fine Jewellery department will see a range of pieces in gold and silver from brands including Catbird, Sarah & Sebastian, Saskia Diez, wWake and i+i. "Having seen a notable increase in women investing in luxury jewellery for themselves, we have signed five new and cutting edge jewellery brands that speak to our modern customer," continued Aiken.

"At Net-a-Porter we are constantly at the forefront of new ventures, introducing new trends and new brands that we think the global customer will love; with this in mind, the demi-fine category taps into a market that has not yet been explored by our competition, and being able to offer this to customers is truly exciting."

The Net-a-Porter Demi Fine Jewellery department will open online on October 12.
