Jewellery plays such an important role in our lives. From signifying memories to representing our personal taste, it has an inherent power. And now, there's a new designer that's hit our radar.

Born in Saudi Arabia, the Dubai-based Lana Al Kamal left her previous roles as an architect and interior designer to follow her passion and create her namesake jewellery brand.

Her passion for creating beautiful jewellery pieces stemmed from advice given to her by her father. "Let your eyes see only beauty" was the mantra Kamal followed as she paid attention to intricate details and created her debut collection, titled Leaves of Joy.

Set to launch this Spring, the collection boasts inspirations from different elements of nature such as raindrops, leaves, flower motifs, ladybugs, branches and nests, all crafted in 18 karat gold.

Featuring rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces (with only seven pieces of each produced to maintain exclusivity), the 13-piece collection also includes Zirconia stones in a palette of deep blue, aquamarine and pure white, which symbolise the changing colours of water.
