It's official! Cate Blanchett has just been announced as the latest jury member to join the IWC Filmmaker Award panel. Set to make her third visit to the Dubai International Film Festival, which will take place this December, the Australian actress, along with the jury panel, are set to select a winner from IWC Schaffhausen's filmmaker finalists list. 

Speaking about the festival this year, Dubai International Film Festival Chairman, Abdulhamid Juma said: “Each year, the bar is set higher by the scripts we receive for the IWC Filmmaker Award and our expert jury members have tough decisions to make. We are privileged to welcome back an icon of the silver screen to Dubai to lend her insight to the distinguished jury and inspire new emerging talent from the region.”

The Dubai International Film Festival is set to run from December 6 to 13, 2017. The IWC Filmmaker Award will be presented on December 7, 2017.
