There's a slew of Spring/Summer '19 collections that dominated the LFW runways overnight...

London Fashion Week kicked off over the weekend and it has continued to showcase a series of coveted collections at the start of the week. With highly anticipated shows including Victoria Beckham's debut on the LFW schedule and the unveiling of Delpozo's colourful Spring/Summer '19 collection, we've rounded up the top seven collections worth seeing from day three...

Victoria Beckham

What you need to know: Victoria Beckham delivered her latest seasonal collection in a variety of statement styles. Staying true to her signature minimal aesthetic, the collection featured easy-flowing silhouettes, relaxed dresses and trousers, tailored blazers, lingerie-like tops and contrasting prints and accessories that complemented the looks.

It's a celebration: Victoria Beckham's Spring/Summer '19 runway show was a double celebration for the designer as she not only marked her 10th year in business but also used the runway show as a homecoming celebration opting to join the London schedule after presenting in New York for several seasons.

Preen by Thornton Bregazzi

What you need to know: This season, it seemed that Preen by Thronton Bregazzi was feeling very nomadic as it sent down a collection featuring mix-matched prints, a muted colour palette and gypsy-esque cuts including ruffled tops, patchwork prints, knitted vests that were torn apart and layers of tulle.

Focused finale: After showcasing the contrasting separates and printed pieces, Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi then sent down a slew of models dressed in eveningwear to finish things off.

Roland Mouret

What you need to know: The ensembles at the Roland Mouret show were more fluid than in previous collections. The pieces had a strong, feminine aesthetic that came in the form of floral cut-outs, silk lines, fine lace-netting, striking silhouettes and simple detailing.

The designer's inspiration: For Spring/Summer '19, the Meghan Markle-approved designer was inspired by feminism, more specifically of a collective of women’s voices. Also, the designer's show notes mentioned an inspirational reference to the 1974 film, Emmanuelle

Delpozo

What you need to know: Staying true to his design aesthetic, for S/S '19 Josep Font showed embellished dresses, deconstructed pieces, sleek designs, a cotton candy colour palette, detailed ruffles and relaxed fittings.

In case you missed it: Each look was sent down the runway with strappy sandals and headpieces by Spanish hat brand, Mabel Sanz.

Chalayan

What you need to know: Hussein Chalayan took a darker approach to Spring/Summer '19 dressing by releasing a modest collection that came in a grey-tone colour palette. Featuring the designer's signature tailoring aesthetic, it also saw the introduction of contrasting fabrics, a play on different shapes and androgynous elements.

What the designer said: According to WWD, Chalayan said of the collection: "It’s an ongoing quest for me. You weave through different interests and try to discover ideas and techniques through the journey. It’s a dance between opposites, contrasting shapes, things that are controlled but also flow away. I try to filter these ideas through form and shapes, but if you don’t understand them, hopefully, you can just enjoy them as shapes and clothes. That’s the point."

Simone Rocha

What you need to know: Simone Rocha's new collection was rich in prints and bold fabrics this season. With seriously heavy flower brocades, oversized sleeves, brimmed hats, embellished veils and lots of layering, the collection made a strong statement on the runway.

Designer's influence: China’s Tang dynasty influenced Simone Rocha's Spring/Summer '19 collection. It's evidently seen in the imitation portraits of Chinese ladies that were super magnified on either the lace-edged or veil-covered dresses.

Peter Pilotto

What you need to know: Peter Pilotto's Spring/Summer '19 range consisted of disco-ready silhouettes. Designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos offered a selection of shimmering maxi dresses, floral jumpsuits, bold prints, metallic looks and lots of relaxed silhouettes in a  kaleidoscopic colour palette.

Wishlist-worthy: Any one of the pieces is perfect for the upcoming festive season.
