Echoing refined silhouettes and timeless simplicity, luxury fashion house Bottega Veneta reveals a minimalistic, yet colourful womenswear range for their Resort '17 collection. Boasting several contrasts between delicate fabrics and textures, the collection sees two different components of materials – shiny and matte. Soft lamb skin, cotton, satin, jacquard, velvet and rainwear are all illuminated with a shiny finishing, while a matte applique is injected through cotton velvet, calf suede, crepe, wool, tweed and viscose jersey.

A kaleidoscopic palette of brightly toned hues of pink, purple, salmon, green, blue and yellow, are juxtaposed against muted pastels and monochromatic darks of navy, grey, black and maroon to cater to the atmosphere of the season. The brand's Creative Director, Tomas Maier says: "This collection, as always, is meant as a continuity from the runway, while displaying a large palette of colours that lift the mood of the season. A large variety of materials are used for the various geographic destinations in the world."

On the accessories front, the matte and shiny motifs are carried through to the label's iconic handbags in saturated hues, while carefully crafted contours on soft calf and nappa leathers, and snake skin convey an appealing luxury effect.
