Zara is launching an augmented reality experience in store

Here's how you can get involved
Your favourite high street store is about to get even cooler thanks to the introduction of a new augmented reality app...

We’re all guilty of a little (or large, if you’re anything like us) shopping spree in Zara and now the Spanish high street chain is looking to enhance customer experience in the coolest of ways.

Next month, the brand will introduce an augmented reality experience for visitors to 120 of its global flagships. The way it will work is that for a two-week period, customers who have the Zara app on their devices to hold their phones up to certain store windows or areas in the store and see models come to life in front of them in the store’s latest designs.

Customers will then be able to click through and buy the items seen on the virtual models.

The brand follows in the footsteps of the likes of Burberry and GAP who have previously dabbled with the technology.

It is not yet known which stores will be involved in the experience but we’re not-so secretly hoping that one of the Middle Eastern locations is on the list. Watch this space for more information.
