The often politically-charged fashion designer, who was recently forced to defend her tax practices, is set to open her first ever New York-based boutique this autumn.

The store will mark the third Vivienne Westwood boutique in the U.S – following stores in Los Angeles and Honolulu. Housed within a six-storey French Beaux Arts townhouse, the NYC boutique will span three floors and carry ready-to-wear pieces from the Gold Label, Red Label, Anglomania and Man lines, alongside accessories, bridal and eveningwear from the Gold Label Capsule.

“The building we have chosen for our shop has a great atmosphere and the area is perfect for us,” explained Andreas Kronthaler, Westwood’s husband and the label’s creative director.
