Designers Diane von Furstenberg and Victoria Beckham have been confirmed to headline the upcoming Singapore Fashion Week, which will kickstart in May. The organisers of the five-day long fashion week partnered up with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDAheaded by Furstenberg, to help promote Singapore's talents and provide them access to international exposure.

Previously known as the Audi Fashion Festival Singapore, this year's Singapore Fashion Week (SFW) will also feature Hollywood star Cate Blanchett and South Korean actress Yoon Eun Hye, who are both confirmed to attend.

“Singapore Fashion Week allows us to stand shoulder to shoulder with all the international fashion labels that we aspire to be like,” SFW chairman Tjin Lee said on Friday. “But with the name change also comes great responsibility, and a greater sense of having to build the industry, by empowering and training designers.”

Diane Von Furstenberg will open SFW with a show on May 13, whilst Victoria Beckham will close the fashion week with her finale show later that week.
