The fashion world has been a flurry of regional International Woolmark Prize finalist revelations over the past 24 hours as Australia made their first announcements, the news rippled around the globe following the international timeline and finally the nominees for the U.S. have been named. The 2015-2016 womenswear finalists are; Chris Gelinas, Kaelen, Nellie Partow, Novis and Tanya Taylor. The menswear finalists are Cadet, David Hart, Lucio Castro, Siki Im and Thaddeus O'Neil.

The winners for the U.S. will be selected July 21 in New York. Finalists are required to submit sketches of a six-piece merino wool capsule collection, and actually produce one of those sketches. The winners from the U.S. region will compete against finalists in Shanghai, Sydney, Antwerp, Dubai and the British Isles for the coveted award and $100,000Aus prize.
