After the Barbadian singer successfully sued Topshop for £3.3 million in 2013 for selling a tank top with an unauthorized image of her on it (pictured below) – and winning the legal battle last week –Britian's Court of Appeal has now ordered the Arcadia-owned store to pay Rihanna an estimated £1.5 million in legal costs.

When asked to comment on the court's decision, a partner at Reed Smith, the firm representing Rihanna in the case, stated: "The judgment speaks for itself. We make no comment on figures."

In the meantime, a separate inquiry into damages and the profits made on the sale of the Topshop T-shirt is ongoing.
