Known for his preppy and all-American designs, Tommy Hilfiger will soon launch his very own book that will feature chapters of the designer's life that have been previously untold, from growing up in Elmira, New York, and being the second of nine children to building a multibillion-dollar luxury brand.

The book is said to explore the designer's highs and lows throughout his career and what drove him to create a global lifestyle brand.

"Reflecting on my experiences in the fashion industry over the last 30-plus years has been a wild ride, filled with milestone moments that have defined both my career and personal life," explained Hilfiger. "I always believe the best is yet to come, but so far: it's been the adventure of a lifetime."

The new Ballantine Books publication is scheduled for release this autumn, and will coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Tommy Hilfiger brand.
