Following the rather exciting news that he is working on a second film – a follow up to 2009's A Single Man with Colin Firth – Tom Ford debuted his new Autumn/Winter 15 ready-to-wear collection in Los Angeles on Friday, ahead of Sunday's Oscars. A star-studded crowd turned out to sit front row, including Naomi Campbell, Beyoncé, Julianne Moore, and Scarlett Johansson – perhaps some of whom may find themselves cast in Ford's new movie?

The runway was scattered with romantic white petals, and Ford laced his sassy design approach with some Californian cool for the new Autumn/Winter 15 season. Ironically considering the timing of his showcase, there were very little red carpet dresses on show on Friday – with denim, and everyday layering dominating the lineup.

Ford's colour palette featured black, ivory, khaki, a plethora of greys and some pops of rainbow hues that had a cowgirl feel to them – especially when they were splashed onto denim looks, some of which, featured a nipped-in waist with a peplum.
