With fashion sustainability at the fore of The Woolmark Company, an Australian-based authority on the production of merino wool, it was only natural that a new (and sustainable) partnership with the Fashion Tech Lab would develop. Collaborating to strengthen the association between fashion and technology, the two companies have created a dedicated mentorship program, aptly titled the Innovation Award, which will see twelve finalists selected to create the most sustainable approach to design.

Together with Fashion Tech Lab — who hosted an event with Stella McCartney and Mira Duma during Paris Fashion Week — The Woolmark Company will educate and empower the finalists through the mentorship program, which will also see the Buro 24/7 Founder amongst the final judging panel with one inaugural winner being awarded.

Speaking about the partnership, Mira Duma says: "I am extremely proud to be partnering with The Woolmark Company and the International Woolmark Prize, as it combines my two passions — fashion and technology. The Innovation Award allows us to offer an incredible and empowering opportunity to 12 designers and continues to propel Fashion Tech Lab's mission of accelerating the fashion industry's transition to an innovative and sustainable future."

The winners of the International Woolmark Prize and Innovation Award are set to be announced in January. In the meantime, discover Salvatore Ferragamo and Orange Fiber's sustainable capsule collection
