The Fashion Awards 2017, run by the British Fashion Council, were held at the Royal Albert Hall in London last night to celebrate the best in the fashion industry. The event saw Raf Simons win Designer of the Year for his work at Calvin Klein, whilst Virgil Abloh took home the Urban Luxe Brand award for Off-White. Model-of-the-moment Adwoa Aboah was crowned Model of the Year, beating out the Hadid sisters and Kaia Gerber for the honour. 

The British Fashion Council also selected Craig Green for British Menswear Designer of the Year and Gucci's Marco Bizzarri for Business Leader. Jonathan Anderson scooped two awards this season — Accessories Designer of the Year (Loewe) and British Womenswear Designer of the Year.

The evening also saw some of the industry's biggest names honoured for their contributions including Dior's Maria Grazia Chiuri who received the Swarovski Award for Positive Change, Pat McGrath, who took home the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator, Stella McCartney who received the Special Recognition Award for Innovation and Donatella Versace who was awarded the Fashion Icon Award.  This year's Outstanding Contribution to British Fashion Award was given to Burberry's Christopher Bailey, who is set to exit the brand in 2018
