In true Stella McCartney form, the British designer showed her appreciation for fun and function as she presented her Pre-Fall 15 lineup at the Convent of the Sacred Heart on the Upper East Side. And as Kristen Stewart and Chloe Sevigny mingled, models played ping-pong and miniature-golf, as the relaxed vibes extending into McCartney's collection.

Pieces were simple, chic and had an air of extreme reliability for the modern-day woman. There was Mongolian faux fur hats – a big leap for the designer who is against the use of real fur – and belted jackets, tailored coats with a faded wildcat print and oversized tunics worn with chic ankle-hitting trousers.

Showing a fondness for graphics, the Pre-Fall lineup also featured a psychedelic weeping willow trees that was designed in collaboration with London illustrator Will Sweeney, which was printed across an array of minimal separates. Wanting more out of clothes than just something basic, McCartney added new touches to basic pieces – cut to her cashmere crewneck jumpers which feature a unique swirling hem.

While on the accessories front, McCartney kept her youthful and essential ethos with glitter backpacks, new editions of her best-selling star platform loafers, and fluffy hats.
