After three successful years at the helm of Italian family owned label, Ermenegildo Zegna, Stefano Pilati has announced his exit. Pilati was tapped to take on the Creative Director role at Zegna back in 2012 after an eight-year career at Yves Saint Laurent. His brand direction and design transformed the label into a not-to-be-missed experience and unveiled his final menswear show in Milan last month.

"I have given much consideration to this decision and after thoughtful conversations with Gildo Zegna, we have reached the conclusion that the mission he entrusted me with had been fulfilled. I now wish to focus on other projects that I had put aside in order to achieve our common goals with Zegna Couture, " says Pilati.

It's not yet been announced who will be taking over Pilati's position, however, this week has now seen two major designer step downs as Alessandro Sartori also bid farewell to Berluti.
