This season sees Giorgio Armani's signature hallmarks come into their own as a number of the collections from the Milan runway move towards slouchy fluidity, and away from structured form fitting shapes. This is very much Armani's domain and Spring/Summer 16 is oozing this relaxed charm, with loose jackets, undone, something of an Armani legacy, and fine delicate tailoring.

As ever, fabrics are key in achieving this fluidity, soft silky weaves promote movement. "This is male lightness," Armani said. "There was less of everything; we don't need that much, little but well-chosen. Materials are much less synthetic, cotton mixed with silk." Checked wools and mottled finishes create patterns, in smart yet understated blues and greys.

Accessories were a highlight, a range of men's carry-all bags with shoulder straps and handles, backpacks and leather shoes were crafted using special Italian artisan techniques.
