As previously suspected and reported on Buro 24/7 Middle East, Bertrand Guyon will replace Marco Zanini at Schiaparelli. The acclaimed couture designer who is currently working at Valentino will present his first collection as the Schiaparelli design director during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week in July.

The talented Frenchman – who is is a graduate of the École de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne – has previous couture experience at Christian Lacroix and Givenchy and will now leave his role at Valentino to be responsible for couture and the house's high-end ready-to-wear collection, which the Place Vendôme house fondly calls "prêt-à-couture."

Schiaparelli is owned by Italian entrepreneur Diego Della Valle and unveiled its last collection in January designed by an anonymous in-house team after its creative director Marco Zanini left following a two season collaboration, in November 2014.
