After a battle that has gone on for over a decade, Ralph Lauren has finally won his case against the United States Polo Association and USPA’s Indian licensee Arvind Lifestyle Brands Ltd, and is set to receive a $3.2 million payout.

It all started in 2003 when a dispute started between the Ralph Lauren and Arvind regarding apparel licensing, after it printed incorrect and misleading statements that the USPA isn’t affiliated to Ralph Lauren on USPA items sold in India.

A statement from Arvind confirmed that the $3.2 million settlement had been reached following a series of “good faith discussions” and noted that the payout did not mean that there is any admission of wrongdoing.
