With her appointment as Creative Director of Dior in July, Maria Grazia Chiuri became the first woman to lead the fashion house's artistic direction and simultaneously chose to extend that sense of female empowerment through a project titled, "The Women Behind the Lens". The ground-breaking initiative sees Chiuri turn to nine female photographers to each showcase their individual interpretation of the Dior Spring/Summer '17 collection through a visual campaign. The first of that series, shot by famed French photographer Brigitte Lacombe, was unveiled in December.

Now, Dior has offered a behind-the-scenes look at the making of this project with the release of several videos that document the campaign journeys of Lacombe, as well as fellow photographers, Brigitte Niedermair and Janette Beckman.
