Toni Maticevski presented the highly anticipated Maticevski Fall 2015 collection as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia. The venue of choice was the Bay 25, Carriageworks, which has been decked out in stark white with a contemporary acrylic runway. An appropriate setting that served as the perfect backdrop the designer's exploration of fashion and technology, by way of model-held tablets, which showed the same fashion show streamed live.

Contrasting  with the stark and futuristic staging and technological elements, the collection, as supported by the soundbites that played out through the show, showed elements of nostalgia with sweet soft florals in amply shirted dresses and polka dots and some fifties waist cinching full skirt silhouettes.

Elsewhere the collection showed modern cuts with movement hinged on folds and tucks as body skimming dresses streamed the runway in shades of lilac, bright white and metallic gold and grey. Asymmetry formed the key component of the lines, with some one shoulder designs, voluminous folds at the neckline and lengths that went from ankle to thigh in one wrap.

Embellishment came in the form of honeycomb textures on fabric, glittering beading and a particularly eye catching gold sequin breast panel that simultaneously exhibited elements of art-deco and the futuristic.
