A flower market in Milan by Marni
Marni's director of special projects, Carolina Castiglioni devised a one-day-only flower market on Sunday at the beautiful Rotonda della Besana's colonnaded gardens in Milan.
The spot sees pretty stalls laden with bunches of flowers wrapped in Marni-printed paper that featured the best of their archive's designs, where Castiglioni said she wanted to offer something to the city's children, and to show visitors a new dimension to her hometown.
Castiglioni added that she enjoys filling her own courtyard and terrace at home with plants and herbs, which were the inspiration behind various sizes of cure PVC plant-pot holders that resembled the label's shopping bags... And she plans to bring other, similar one-off concepts to global spots like Tokyo and the Venice Biennale in 2015.
A group of the industry's finest turned out for the one-off fashion week event, including journalists Tim Blanks and Suzy Menkes to Saudi Arabian royal retail force and DNA founder, Deena Abdulaziz.
