Consuelo Castiglioni is undeniably on a roll with Marni, which was evident as she presented her latest collection for the Italian fashion label today. Models marched in a sophisticated manner down the auburn runway, surrounded by cold looking concrete walls – the perfect blank canvas to display her beautiful creations. The first wave of models sported long layered silhouettes with frayed seams and wild textured furs that came in all different forms – from patches on tunics to full glossy beaver pelt skirts, even sleeves were replaced with what looked like the coat of a character from a Roald Dahl children's novel.

Castiglioni mixed the furs with matelassé floral jacquard pieces and streamline tunics, dark forest printed dresses and beautifully tailored tweed numbers. The complete offering was accessorised with wide neutral, tan and black leather belts adding an architectural aspect by dividing up the garments below. Shoes ranged from soft leather boots to edgy heeled sandals and coloured sole courts.
