Louis Vuitton has decided to hold its 2016 cruise show at the Niterói Contemporary Art Museum in Rio de Janeiro. Overlooking the Guanabara Bay and with a bright red ramp to provide a ready-made red carpet, the museum will follow last year's cruise event, which was held at a John Lautner-designed house in Palm Springs California.

The maison's creative head Nicolas Ghesquière took to Instagram to reveal the location, saying: "The Oscar Niemeyer's Niteroi museum will be the space where I am going to show my next Louis Vuitton cruise collection on May 28."

The Louis Vuitton Cruise show will be the first ever fashion event held at the museum, which incidentally is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The luxury brand will also continue its affiliation with the museum by supporting four exhibitions throughout the year, with the first one titled Ephemera to open in June.

The Louis Vuitton cruise collection will be showcased on May 28, 2016. Stay connected to Buro 24/7 Middle East for live coverage of the show.
