It has been revealed that Louis Vuitton will discontinue its Takashi Murakami-designed Multicolore monogram collection after a Louis Vuitton insider told WWD that the colourful print will be “leaving stores at the end of July, forever.”

The collaboration first launched at the luxury French fashion house's spring 2003 show, during Marc Jacobs stewardship at Louis Vuitton. Official reps for the brand declined to comment on the discontinuation, noting that they prefer to “look forward.”

The Multicolore monogram is the longest lasting of all of Louis Vuitton's collaborations with Takashi Murakami, which have included the cherry blossom and camouflage capsule collections.
