The new Cruise 2016 collection from Kenzo is a departure from the vivid prints and vibrant tones of the previous Autumn/Winter offering. Here Carol Lim and Humberto Leon present a toned down vibe in terms of hues and print, though of course prints feature, in a lineup that finds its vibrancy not in its palette but in its adventurous spirit: "This collection reflects an intrepid spirit and sense of exploration," said Lim.

The desert storm aesthetic of sun-bleached fabrics, hues of white, mineral and military tones feels equally alive. With prints creeping in, by way of a cactus motifs and a speckled stone marbling and some feminine faded camo. Silhouettes and shapes are largely influenced by the highly wearable military and utility details.
