Just in: Luxury fashion app The List launches cryptocurrency payment

The first e-commerce mobile platform to do it
If you didn't think online shopping could get any easier (or safer), well, check this: Dubai-based luxury e-commerce site The List has launched cryptocurrency payment. And they're the first e-commerce mobile platform in the world to do so...

With everything happening online right now, we’ve come to expect things to happen, well, very quickly. So this will really delight savvy e-shoppers: Dubai-based luxury e-commercite site The List has just launched cryptocurrency payment by parterning up with BitBay Pay to make your shopping experience that much faster, convenient and safer. And they’re the first e-commerce mobile platform doing it.

Delivering luxury brands like Saint LaurentOff-White and Cartier to your doorstep, it’s fair to say you’re paying big bucks for your purchases, so The List’s new payment feature will make sure your transaction is iron-clad secure. Here’s what you need to know…

BitBay Pay is an innovative platform that allows users to accept different cryptocurrencies as a payment method. Currently there are 10 million users of Bitcoin (a form of electronic currency) and it’s expected by 2024 that it will rise to 200 million.

Now customers using The List app can pay with Bitcoin. So you can shop without having to enter any card information. All you have to do is send a direct payment from the wallet app on your phone with just one click.

Founder and CEO of The List, Andreas Skorski said, “In the Middle East consumers’ approach to banking and payments has already changed radically. Due to the growth of e-commerce and the high mobile penetration in the region cash-on-delivery payments have steadily declined over the last years, while digital payment solutions are experiencing significant growth. We see cryptocurrency as an enduringly relevant currency, not just a trend.”

Looks like shopping just got that much better.
