Isabel Marant celebrates new watch launch with Net-a-porter
It's about time!
Hosted inside a beautiful house on Rue de Varenne in Paris, Isabel Marant and Net-a-porter president Alison Loehnis hosted a delightful dinner to celebrate their new collaboration.
"The house was completely empty," Marant explained, "so I asked Alexandre (Betak) to set up the party. I have known him since we were 15 and would go to parties in Paris together, so I can trust him to know exactly what I want."
Betak and team filled the space with lots of candles and mid-century furnishings, Oriental rugs, art books and – of course – hundreds of floral arrangements, for the 'La Montre' dinner.
"We wanted to imagine what it would be like if Isabel had 50 of her friends around for dinner - which she would never do - but, if she did it would look like this," Betak told WWD. "She would have borrowed tables and chairs and glasses from all the neighbours and everything would be mismatching."
Guests included Juliette Binoche, Aymeline Valade, Jerome Dreyfuss and Sofia Sanchez Barrenechea.
