Fresh from his former post at Valentino, Schiaparelli’s new design director, Bertrand Guyon, presented his debut Haute Couture collection in Paris this morning, and they rolled out the (shocking) pink carpet for the event. The Autumn/Winter 15 lineup was the star performance at the ‘Theatre d’Elsa,’ Guyon’s homage to the house’s founder – Elsa Schiaparelli.

The shocking-pink on the entryway carpet and the ‘theatre’ seats was a stand-out hue, kicking vibrant life into the already varied and colourful collection. This theme culminated in a statement low-back gown in the bright hue, made from lighter-than-air chiffon that formed two wing-like drapes on either side.

Elsewhere, gilding was very much in play, with gold stitching on a short dress, and a pure gold weave on a two-piece trouser suit that saw extraordinary detail across the jacket in the form of hand-beading. Discover the collection in full via our gallery below.
