The Cruise, or Resort (if you are American) 2016 season continues to impress us with beautiful summery line-ups and coveted accessories. Join us as we present the new Cruise 2016 edits from Italian maestro Giorgio Armani, king of prints Jonathan Saunders and cooler than cool Thakoon...

Giorgio Armani Cruise 2016

Giorgio Armani offers up a modern, small capsule for Cruise 2016. Translating a tracksuit into his own unique way with a super luxurious stretch silk jersey pant paired a zippered silk-and-cashmere knitted cardigan. A subtly masculine vibe permeates the new collection, which is done in a muted, wearable colour palette.

Jonathan Saunders Cruise 2016

Jonathan Saunders packs a punch for his new interseasonal edit – demonstrating his flair for print and colour in a fun, summery lineup for Cruise 2016. "I was drawn to this notion of using synthetic colours," Saunders noted, adding that he wanted his Cruise 2016 pieces "to have the illusion of synthetic-ness to them, even though they're silks and wool crepes and all those natural fibres."

Thakoon Cruise 2016

Designer Thakoon Paninchgul recently folded its contemporary Thakoon Addition line into its mainline (which seems to be a trending move in the industry of late), "It was going in that direction," Panichgul told WWD. "In the beginning it was part of Thakoon and everyone wanted it on the contemporary floor because the price was good, but we ended up doing the same things in both collections sometimes, so it felt repetitive." With this in mind, Thakoon kept Cruise cohesive, and across a mostly black and white palette, the designer presented a staple wardrobe for a summer jaunt or warmer climes.
