Fashion focus: Furla to go fur-free

The new policy will take effect from November
The fashion industry is slowly moving towards a more sustainable future and yet another luxury brand has made the decision to go fur-free...

More and more brands are saying no to fur and news emerged this morning that Italian luxury brand Furla has joined the list of supporting names.

Following in the footsteps of fashion brand Michael Kors and luxury online retailer Yoox Net-a-Porter (who both announced that they will go fur-free moving forward), Furla’s coveted handbag collections will be fur-free, starting with its Cruise ’19 collection, set to hit stores in November.

The brand’s collections have been spotted numerous times on influencers, buyers and editors alike during fashion weeks.

Furla’s selection of arm candy previously received a pop-art makeover when the brand released an exclusive collection of their signature Metropolis handbag to the Middle East in 2016.

Whilst no further details have been revealed, find out which designer just received an award for her sustainable approach
