Prada celebrates the opening of the new Fondazione Prada in Milan
The second building is unveiled
Miuccia Prada and husband Patrizio Bertelli celebrate the soft opening of the Fondazione Prada in the new Rem Koolhaas designed Milan headquarters. Friends of Prada gathered at the sprawling 205,000-square-feet brand new digs, which boasts reams of exhibition space as well cinema and performance viewing areas, to get a sneak peek at the creation before the grand opening on May 7, at the inaugurating cocktail party.
The guest list extended to more than 900 guests from the world of art, culture and fashion, all eager to get a glimpse of the new Milan HQ.
Filmmaker Roman Polanski (The Pianist) has been slated to screen a documentary and artists Robert Gober and Thomas Demand are incorporating an artistic installation to be exhibited in the new space, among the many up coming inaugural cultural programmes.
