With a fashion portfolio that includes campaigns for Ralph Lauren, Versace and Louis Vuitton, it's little surprise that lensman extraordinaire Bruce Weber has been announced as the recipient of the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator at The Fashion Awards 2016. As Dame Natalie Massenet, British Fashion Council Chairman, explains, "Bruce's endurance is testament to his pure talent, his undeniable creativity and his singular warmth and generosity. His expansive body of work in photography and film is iconic, and he himself is rightly an icon of the creative fashion community."

The fashion world was first exposed to Weber's photographic genius in the '70s when he worked on Calvin Klein's iconic monochromatic campaign. Since then, his work has appeared in Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair and Vogue. But more than just a fashion photographer, Weber is also an accomplished author as well as filmmaker, with his 1987 film Broken Noses earning him an Oscar nomination. Most recently, Weber was tasked with Louis Vuitton's SS16 campaign starring Jaden Smith.

Weber will receive his award on December 5 at the Royal Albert Hall. Meanwhile, find out who are the nominees for The Fashion Awards 2016.
