Diane von Furstenberg is taking over Galeries Lafayette windows
C’est une vie à la mode
This weekend, it was announced that the Belgian designer will be taking control of one of Paris' most iconic department stores.
This summer, Diane von Furstenberg's creations will be engulfing the main entrance and 12 windows of the store on Boulevard Haussmann – from September 3 to 30 – celebrating the 40th anniversary of her signature wrap dress.
Von Furstenberg will also present a capsule collection of 12 wrap dresses in six heritage prints, which will be sold on the third floor. A selection of bags and small leather goods will also be available as part of the French retailer's autumn theme 'Pop-timiste'.
Additionally, the designer has created a limited edition Amelia dress and 440 Mini bag in her signature leopard print exclusively for Galeries Lafayette. Von Furstenberg will also feature in an advertising campaign shot by Jean-Paul Goude, which is set to debut August 25.
