Following Prada's decision to hold its Cruise '18 show in Milan, Gucci has also confirmed that it's staying put in Italy for the seasonal showcase, announcing that Palatina Gallery at Pitti Palace, Florence, is the preferred location. The move follows Gucci's financial commitment to help revitalise the city's famed Boboli Gardens, and aptly so with the Palatina Gallery directly overlooking the ancient natural space. Speaking about the chosen location, Gucci's President and CEO, Marco Bizzarri, told WWD, "Florence is an unquestionable point of reference for Gucci and Alessandro Michele. Boboli is the Italian Versailles and we want to make the gardens even more important."

Gucci's Cruise '18 collection show on May 29 will mark the first fashion show at the venue. Now, discover Gucci's new digital project featuring Qatari designers.
