Christopher Bailey has hopped up the executive ladder at leading British heritage label, Burberry, going from creative director in 2004 to chief creative officer in 2009 and in May last year he shot up to the position of CEO.

It is thought that with the bonus structure of the executive positions that Bailey stands to earn far greater income (mostly thanks to bonuses) than in either of his previous positions. And according to Burberry's recently published annual report, he took home a cool £7.9 million last financial year. His core salary has not changed a great deal, at £1 million per year, but with the addition of £424,000 in benefits and cash allowances, a £1.8 million bonus, a £4.4 million co-investment plan and £303,000 pension, he's also leapt up the earning ladder.
